Every family law case is different because every family unit is comprised of different elements. Our Ohio divorce lawyers and family law mediators consult with clients about all family law matters, including, but not limited to, collaborative law, dissolution, divorce, child custody and shared parenting, child support and spousal support, property division, and prenuptial agreements. We specifically address your options at the consultation. However, you are not expected to make any decisions the day of your consultation. It is an informative session for your benefit and we are here to answer any questions you may have.
Typically, we like to review the last three years of tax returns, documentation of current income, and a detailed statement of your assets and liabilities. However, do not be concerned if you are initially unable to find any of these documents. As we discuss the issues with you, we will be in a better position to ask for documents specifically relevant to your case.
Once retained, you will receive a bill each month which outlines the amount of time a particular attorney, paralegal, law clerk or other staff member pent on your case. The rates vary according to the individual lawyer’s experience and the amount of time needed for your case. We work with each client individually on billing.
